Brand New 48 Dies during Warm Up
In the past couple of days, when I start up the bike in the morning it would die during warm up. I would hear a hissing noise then the engine would cut off. I would start it again run for a minute then dies again. Start it again, rev the engine just a bit and she stays on.
The 48 does have a SE Air Cleaner, VH RSD Tracker pipes, and a Stage 1 download. Not sure if that matters.
My old bike had a choke control on it. I would have to pull it out to rev the engine a bit on colder days.
Anyone else have this issue?
I talked to the service department of my dealership and they told me to take the bike to them and they would give it a look.
It is not really a big problem, more of an annoyance for now. But not sure if left unattended, it may lead to bigger problems in the future.
Here is the bike with my daughter.

Its an annoyance yes but you need to let them see it right away before racking up anymore miles in case it is anything else.
Its under warranty and if you call maybe they will look at it when you come in and find a quick fix or something stupid.
I had a few issues right after I bought my Road King in 04 and I brought it down and they sent a mechanic out to the parking lot and he made some adjustments and fixed a few things for me because it was so new, then I went on y way and all was good.
I had lose bars, horn stopped working and I forget a few other little stupid things, but it was brand new and I wanted it right.
Anyway I would run down there with it.
