Default Zero fork brace

http://zero-eng.com/index.php/parts-...k-brace-1.html

Any one heard of/used this? I think it looks better than others but its definitely less material and its not one piece which makes me question if it would work as well as a super brace. What do you guys think?

Wow, that’s a lot of $$$$. I’m currently making my own by using just the inner structural support from my front fender. Nothing fancy … just drilling out the fender rivets and stripping off the paint.

I didn't see any real info in the link about what the brace is made of. The parts look pretty thin, and I can't really tell if it's made from metal or plastic. There's no question with a Superbrace that it's a quality part it works well.

BTW, U shaped braces that that replace the fender mounting bracket are a waste of money and time IMO. A U shaped bracket has little lateral strength and will allow the forks to flex under lateral side load forces, which is what a real brace is designed to prevent.

If that is a cast unit instead of billet, I would think twice. I have seen a few of the Kury 2 piece cast units snap when bolting them on. Personally I prefer the solid strap style like RSD or the one I made for mine.

I still like the San Jose style, made for '70s BMW twins, which was a pair of strong tubes over the fender. A simple U would be an improvement over none, if made of a suitably stiff material.

That Zero looks to be well made and will only work well by being made of stiff stuff.

That's what I did. I got some bolts and wing-nuts and replace the rivets when it's raining.

Looks like billet to me, and the price is about right for a cnc product.
