all you really NEED to buy is a front offset pulley. the rest you an fabricate your stock parts. here is my conversion for 40 bucks......cost of the pulley/rear axle

But what about the rear wheel...
The rest one may be able to do... but with my welding ability (or lack there of) I couldn't do the swing arm... struts... side cover widening of the rear fender... seems to me you'd just about need a machineshop/bodyshop... lol Charlie D.
i know i remember seeing someone on here post a pic of a sporty with like a 250 tire. he out out something like 6g for it and a custom fender and blah blah blah. it did look badass though
The money thing... that don't bother me... some people think your crazy if you spend any money at all on a Sportster...
I on the other hand... if it's what you want and you got the money... go for it...
If I decide to keep my Sportster... I've got a set of wheels picked out that'll set me back about $3600.00... I could give a 'chit what people say... lol
Charlie D.
my rims where right around 3000 when i got mine..
a ways off of 3600 but if you got your mind set on it and you like it.. well, what do ya do...
my sporty is paid for so nomatter what i do to it, its a keeper.. ill never get anything close to what i have into it so why not keep it.. trick it out, .... just because someone else or KBB,nada can book a value on your bike .. after you have worked on it kept it a while, drove it..cussed at it, put some personal touches on it, its priceless..... maybe i havnt had mine long enuf yet, but when i walk out into the garage and see the bike sitting there i smile and wish it wasnt 6 below out there...
and what i can do to it next...and think about what i have done to it..the scenes and the wind..the things run threw my head so fast but i remember every little detail....i hope that happens everytime i go out there...
talk about a ranten and a raven...(sorry)
anyways.,. im one of those guys that hang onto things... this is my first harley and i will always keep it... my first car was a 68 camaro.. i will always keep that too...
i know i want a 240-250 tire just gotta find the right kit or components to do it..
im thinking i can get away for 2,500-2800
