I like the chrome on the 1200s also butI think the silver powdercoat on my 883 engine actually looks pretty good with the red and silver paint on my bike.
i think i might just back out of this thread..it looks like it might turn into a war like every other time..i hope people dont get the wrong impression of what i was saying about the engine..i chose the 1200c because of the chrome and i like the look of the black finish..but when i was laying out thecash it was a choice between 8 and 10 grand and i paid the extra 2 grand for the bike that I LIKED..i have nothing against the natural finish...
Ibelieve you Ace, most people do like the black and chrome engines. I do myself.
Everyone is different and likes different things so no need for anyone to get upset as long as no one is bashing the other in a childish manner.
Let's make something of this thread. When anyone mentions the 2 bikes, a plethrea of comments seem to fly! There is a reason why H/D makes the 883. It is a take me back to bare bones cycling. Yes the price is a factor and it's the I want a Harley bike. Is it fast? Yes. Is it a Harley? Yes. Does it get the same respect as the bigger bikes? Your damn skippie it does. As long as it lopes like a 454 chevy on steriods, it's a Harley. So. is a 883 a girl's bike? yeah a Nighttrain is a girl's bike. At least I know girls that ride them. So. What now? I ride a 883 because it's what I wanted. Will I get a bigger bike? Yeah. I may just mod mine because I fell in love with my bike. It helped me through thick and thin and kept on going. I don't think it's a matter what bike it is. If it's what you like, just ride what you like and be safe!
