I just put on 12 " Burley Apes with their cable kit on my 2013 Custom 48. I put everything back together and she fired right up. I discovered that my low beam sounds the horn and my turn signals and tail lamps blow the fuse. If anyone has experienced the cable extension kit you know what a mess it is. I currently do not have a service manual*buying one this week end*. Can anyone direct me to the problem?
Sounds like you got a couple wires crossed. I had that happen when I removed all the connector bodies from the harnesses to do my wire tuck. Got the high beam wire crossed with another wire. Low beam and horn were on all the time and the horn button turned on the high beam. I don't know how I crossed a white wire with a green wire, but it happened. Go back and check your wires again.
It was a color by color match and I plugged them into the harness. What a pain. I was hoping somone would make it easy but I appreciate your responses. Keep them coming. Have A Great Thanksgiving -
Question- If a wire was crossed would it still cause a fuse to blow?

Move a hot to where a ground is and yes it will pop a fuse.
