I know what you're saying. The sideplates were somewhat a pain to put on mine, at least on one side. But all in all not too bad. Well worth it once you got it on. I cannot imagine not having the bar or my rack. I strap a small roll bag to it quie often when cruising all day or going to the store. Well worth having that stuff back there so I can have some basic stuff with me.

Yes. I got it in a couple of days. I take a gym type bag with me to work. That was the idea!

yeah that's what i use mine for. strap a bag to it for a 1000 mile round trip from jville, nc to spartanburg, sc to mountains and back to jville. long trip huh rah? but looks good and is functional too.
