Interesting they did not compare to the ThunderMax Autotuner, which frankly I think is a better tuner than all of them. In full disclosure I have run the Power Commander and FuelPak, but not the Dobeck unit.
I would not go back to any kind of piggy back unit.
I'm with you on that. I'm installing a ThunderMax for the functionality for when i'm traveling through mountains and such. Automatically takes into consideration thinness of the air.

Hey 'Red, maybe it's a link to an old webpage? No wait a minute...they listed the PowerCommander V which is the latest PC soooo... >FAIL< ...LOL!!
...oh and I see you got and installed your Power Vision, and you found out...it rocks!! 'Gotta' be the best $$ I've spent in a while! Still trying to figure out if I'm gonna' mount it or not [though I almost teabagged it after returning from my first ride after flashing the ECM - hahahah, uh ooooops]...

Lmao!! I took it for a short ride on Christmas day after I installed everything (Auto Tune and all), and wow, it was just so much more smooth. A lot better power delivery. I set up my gagues on the display and found out that the gear position DOES work. That, among other features made it the best present ever!!

Maybe some day in the future I'll get me that thar autotune gizmo to go with the PV but I think I'll wait until I do some kind of major enhancement like a 1200-1250cc upgrade...the PV is awesome all by it's loneliness!

I went ahead and bought the whole package from Jamie at Fuel Moto because they had a deal on it. I got the Techmount and the visor for it too. I can't wait for a little bit more stable weather to be able to do a bit of logging and start playing with the copy of the stock map to check out how the auto tune works. I wanna get the V&H ProComp 2 into 1 pipe too, as Im sure that will make a difference in the low end over the Short Shots that are on it.
I'm hopefully picking up a 07 883 custom, it has Vance slip ons as well as some sort of arlen ness intake. I have no access to a dyno. What would my best option be for a power tuner?

If the bike has exhaust and intake I'd bet $ it already has a programmer.
Iceman24 - 'Funny how the Dyno Jet "Power Vision" tuner is mysteriously absent from the Dobeck comparison chart. Hmmmmmmm...

Good ?...I've had great customer support w/Chris @ Dobeck - might have to call & see why they haven't compared, or maybe "when" they'll update their comparison information...
