I really liked that bike, but that was enough for me to stay clear of it.
Similar issue which Ducati had with bikes of few years ago (Ducati has a class action lawsuit in the USA because of that, which they settled in a fairly poor way for the bike's owners). Same tank manufacturer AFAIK, Acerbis.

A plastic tank ; with a cover on it ? How dumb is that ! It seems like though if the tank is properly vented it wouldnt " expand " . I know Acerbis has made tanks for dirt bikes for many years.
