and yeah, the dealer will probably beat you up on the install. Check the price first. Pull the wheel yourself, find a shop that'll mount the tire at a decent price.

our local dealership will install the tire for $1 if you buy it from them... even though thats still more expensive than buying your own tire and paying the independent shop $50 for an install...

The Metz 880 is a good tire. I usually buy tires online, unless a local shop has a good special running. For install, I use a local indy shop. They do it all, including Dyna Beads for $40.

Never had a problem with stock Dunlops, and I corner the crap out of both of my HD's. 401's on my Dyna, and 402's on the Ultra. Good mileage, handing, cornering, and great traction wet or dry.

If your gonna sell the bike soon go with the hd dunlops. If you wanna keep it for another 10k miles or so get Metz 880's. the Metz cost a little more, but they handle great and last longer than the Dunlops. I got 13k miles out of my 880's on my old VTX 1800 and those bikes are really hard on tires. Well my right wrist was anyhow. Lol.

O and check Denniskirk.com for your tires. They have pretty good prices. Mount them yourself, use Dyna beeds to balance them, and save yourself a ton of cash.

The Michelin Commander II is worth taking a look at. Rocky Mountain atv/mc or Dennis Kirk. Take it to a local accessory shop or even a (gulp) Honda dealer for mounting.

I need a back tire. I've been checkin around a bit. I'm going to go with the Commander II from Michelin. I got around 12,000 on the Dunlop. I hope the Commander IIs will give me a few more miles the next goround. I'll keep ya posted as soon as I get one set up.
