Hey guys & gals, just got my bike delivered to Germany since ill be stationed here for a while and the first thing that i noticed missing is the small bolt that we use to remove the battery leads. Im missing only one bolt and im going nuts because i can't find anything similar to get it hooked back up properly. Any advice on where and size of bolt would be awesome.
Secondly, im getting a little irritated because i can't find any custom shops around here that seem to do any slightly custom to full custom work. Im located in Kaiserslautern by the way.
If you are talking about the bolts that hold the battery leads to the battery terminals they are usually 10mm AF. You are in a metric country, so any auto or bike parts shop, or ANY bike dealer should be able to supply replacements. If you have one bolt, take it with you.
You're in Germany, where Harleys are foreign! There are far fewer custom shops here in Europe. You may have to ask around for Harley indys or custom shops. My favourite indy is over 200 miles away. You could always buy a BMW.....
ok, thanks guys im going to try and find one, because its winter is here and everything is frozen outside, my bike has been sitting since i got here in september. Im just hoping that nothing bad has happend to it from not being turned on for so long, plus i need to put some petrol in as well.
Hello from Redcar England.
Is your bike out side or in damp conditions cos if it is you may wont to spray some of that Winter protection coating on to keep it good and as Graham says tender that battery, all good bike shops sell them.(Guten tag)
