Crankcase Pressure

What would cause the oil dip stick to be blown out of the oil bag upon starting??? It's an '03 Evo Sportster.

Could be a venting issue or over filled with oil. Have you checked the oil while the bike is on the kickstand?

Pinched vent line building up pressure?

Forgot to mention the bike's been setting for a while, couple years. Oil bag was low on oil to start with. Ran the engine for a lil while, still blows..

Is it stock or an after-market dipo stick? Does it push in or screw in?

I experienced this with my brothers 1989 ElecraGlide Sport. It sat for 2 years, we thought it was low on oil so we topped it off. What had happened was that the oil drained into the crankcase, the scavenger pump tried to put it back in the tank, there was a flood of oil came out of the air cleaner and ran all over the front exhaust pipe, it surprisingly quickly caught fire. We were in his shop with his stock car so a fire extinguisher was handy, no damage. He still has that bike.
