Default Multiple problems... Please help!

So I am completely new to Harley's. I've had sport bikes in the past and have no problem with those.

Question 1. Why would the bike ride fine and then want to fall on its face as I give it gas. I bought the bike yesterday rode fine and everything got it home and then took it for another ride it was fine then started to bog badly. The guy said it was sitting since last year. I changed the gas and plugs.

Question 2. I went to start my bike and let it warm up and see if the new gas and plugs fixed the bogging and then as it was warming up my oil temp. gauge shot off and shot oil all over the place. I thought maybe I didn't push it in all the way when I checked the oil. So I shut the bike off and put the cap back on and tried it again and it did the same thing. I don't want to try it again and fry the motor if it's not getting oil.

I also took the tank off to drain the old gas.... Could I have pinched a line when I put it the tank back on? I also noticed when I pulled the pressure gauge that the oil was basically about to come out. Could it have too much oil in it?

Had you added any oil before starting this spring?

Yeah, starting to sound like it is way overfilled with oil.

I just bought it yesterday and I haven't done anything except take some parts off like the backrest, saddle bags, and highway lights. So should I just change the oil and see if that works...

No reason to trust the previous owner's oil change anyway.. change it, and make sure you put the right amount back in. That should straighten you out.

The oil had settled to the crankcase, you added oil, fired the bike up, too much oil.

I appreciate the help guys and I did NOT add a drop of oil to it. I have only taken things off and drained the gas out and put new gas in that's all I've done to it. I'm just trying to get the thing running right so I can ride it. The oil is kinda dirty and slightly dark but I figured it was fine for now til I can get to the Harley dealer close to me Monday and get new oil, oil filter, and maybe plugs and wires so I can see if that helps. Also how can I find out which exhaust I have. I didn't see a name on it when I was looking at.

Can you post a picture of the bike?A lot of people on this forum will recognize the exhaust by seeing it I would guess.

How the hell do you post a pic on this thing?! lol I forgot how to lol

I now can't give it any gas without it bogging unless I have the choke open a lil bit then I can give it maybe about 1/8 throttle and then it will bog if I give it anymore, it also starts to backfire when giving it gas.
