My 883R/48R is nearing completion. Mine isn't so much a 48R, not sure what to call it... maybe 883RC?
You will also need the 48's speedometer bucket, I'm picking mine up today.
This conversion is far more complex (& expensive) than I expected, but H-D has never offered such a bike.
Oh!c0jones,i have to thank you for your information, you help me a lot.
I didn't see any speedometer bucket on ebay, could you help me to buy one from Harley retail stores or aftermarket stores?
Close........its a standard though I was told it was a low when I bought it I needed several suspension parts off it for what Im doing to the 48 so I just put all my 48 parts on the 883
innocell,
You did a fantastic job on your bike. Great pictures too. Is it hard to get the parts you need in China? How is the traffic where your at? I saw on the news awhile back that there was a traffic jam that lasted for over a week or something like that?

Hi,1st HD,Harley didn't import 48 to China,and there isn't a HD retailer in my city.My city always traffic jam,but don't last for a week,only on rush hours.Maybe you said was a highway traffic jam.

I'm going to my local dealer this afternoon. The back cover for the speedometer (71988-10) costs $16.99, I'll check price for the handlebar clamp/speedo bracket. I've never shipped anything to China, but my guess is that will be expensive.
