I have a 06 1200L with 2,000km on it, the front brake makes noise once in a while, is it time for brake pads? LOL
Come on, your neighbor will only complain about exhaust noise not brake.
I have the same problem and my pads are less than a year old. I have dual discs on the front and I'm wondering if one set is braking more than the other and maybe that is the cause. It doesn't pull any, and it stops great.....just loudly. Hopefully we will find out how to fix it. In the meantime, when I want to brake quietly, I'm using my back brakes or just dragging my heels.
