Sporster Electrical issue
Hey guys I just purchased an 01 sportster 1200 yesterday, I've noticed that at some times, the engine will sputter a little kinda the way it would if it had a touch of water in the gas, only when this occurs the speedometer plummets to zero. anyone know what could be causing this? thanks guys

It's most likely the 90* connections on the coil. They are squeeze connections. Pull them off the coil stud and give them a good squeeze with your fingers or a set of pliers to tighten up the connector. You should be able to hear it slide back on over every ridge on the stud. Atleast that's what my issue was when I had the same symptoms.
