The dealer said they adjusted the idle speed only, bike is operating as designed.Also check for intake leak, none found. I agree with you regarding their ability to solve the prblem

Thanks for the advise. The dealer already check for intake leak, none found. The dealer picked up the bike, since I am at home without a ride back. I offered to drive to the dealership and duplicate the problem for them. They haven't responded back to me.

I have a 2003 and have the same problem. Taken it in to two shops with no results. Items that I've replaced include the following: fuel petcock, screamin' eagle intake, battery, 42mm mikuni carb, spark plugs, drained gas, regularly serviced, and ignitiontimingplate. When I replaced the timing plate, I did have about two months of successful riding. However, I'm back to sqaure one, which leads me to believe that there is a related problem elsewhere. I've found multiple forum listings that have solved this problem. One was the replacement of the coil, and the other was the replacement of the ignition module. My next move is going to be swaping an ignition coil with a buddy of mine. I'll let you know how it goes!
