simple question, simple process but for some reason isn't working..
I bought the RSD brass shifter peg but for some reason its not going all the way into the shifter hole. Anyone else ever have an issue replacing their shifter?
Mine is only going halfway through..and then after that I can't turn it anymore nor can I use any tools or else I ruin the shifter.
Sounds like the wrong thread pattern. Pull it out and put both pegs together so the threads are touching and see if they match up. If thats good look at the shifter threads and see if you had it crossed.
If you can't thread it all the way in, you may as well take it out, 'cause it ain't workin'. If you cross threaded it, it may already be f'ed, but you'll have to take the bolt out to fix it. So, take it out and see what's up. Bolt too long? Cross-threaded? Mis-matched threads? WTH? It's a shifter peg.
