Default Normal temp?

Any one know what the "normal" engine temp is on a 1200 FI sporty?
today it was about 79 degree's
my powervision read the ET at 408 and my oil temp guage read about 210, I loaded another tune in the PV and the temp went down to about 388, this was all city riding too.

Just returned from a 120 mile ride on my 2006. It's a carb, but the oil temp was 210 just like yours with an 84 deg ambient temp. Sounds normal.

At 79 degrees, my oil temp gauge will read about 170 to 180 after about an hour of city riding. Humidity will also have some effect on oil temp. A lean mixture will cause higher temps.

My oil temp used to run in the 210 range in hot city driving too, once I switched to Amsoil it dropped to more like the 190-195 range under the same conditions.

Normal oil temps are 180F-220F. If your bike approaches 240F, you should pull over immediately, shut it down and let it cool.
