Has anyone tried to prove whether the Amsoil Syn is actually helping the engine run cooler or is it just not as good at picking up engine heat and the engine is actually running hotter. Someone needs to do some thermal flow charting to find out. I installed a PCIII but used the same RevTech 25w60 oil and the oil temp dropped from about 225 to 230 average to 190 to 205. The PCIII is 10% richer than stock.
Synthetic is a uniform size, and is smaller than the large mineral oil molecules. Thus, it creates less friction. In physics, friction means heat.
