oil temp

Default oil temp

have oil temp gauge fitted to dipstick
what temp should it run at after 30 mins running
mine is about 190 ------200 deg/f

Sounds about right,I have the meat thermo type also

Really depends on ambient temperature, but 180-220 is normal. It will be lower in the winter.

And...don't be surprised to see it climb to 250 on hot/humid days.

That's wayyyy too hot for a Sporty. Danger zone for sure.

even running ALL out in the mountains 2up doing 80mph... I only hit 235/240 max....

+1 - Especially if you're running a dino oil, most of which have a break-point of ~250*.
