I have a 2007 RG. It has the quick disconnect on the bottom of the tank. After upgrading the stereo and running lines and etc, I put the tank back on and my quick disconnect won't reseat. I've tried putting new o-rings wth lube on the male side of the connector but when I put it back in I don't get that audible click and gas still seeps out.
Any suggestions other than buying a new fuel petcock from Harley (yes, i've read that from searching)? By the way anyone know a part number for that?
I think you meant to post this in the Touring section.
But when I've worked on the BTs, the quick disconnect can be stubborn to put back on. You gotta push pretty hard on it. It's also possible something is stuck in there preventing it from seating fully.
