Question from a newbe, I have a 2012 1200C with 3" rush
slip-ons if I install a K&N air filter, will I have to add a fuel
processor? I realize that this question has probably been
asked 100's of times. So please excuse me just this one time.
Are you keeping the stock a/c and only changing out the filter element, or are you changing out the whole a/c? If changing just the filter element, you may get some popping but the snorkel is still restrictive enough that you should be OK as far as any lean condition goes. I'd contact DK Custom about iED's and get their opinion.
I have a ViED that i bought from DK Customs that i am selling. I only added it once i changed the air cleaner for something a little more free flowing.
It would only be in your favor to invest in something like a powervision or thundermax. as you add mods in the future you will be ready for them and they will improve the way your stock bike runs also. i think they are a must for a properly running sportster. really it should be done when or before you put any exhaust or air cleaner on.
