Default Headlight Modulation Kit

Has anyone installed a Harley Headlight Modulation Kit P/N:67700078 on their bike? How hard was it and how well did it work?
I'm getting tired of flashing my lights at inattentive drivers just to make sure they see me.

I installed one on my iron and it works great. I definitely get some looks because of it, so it is obviously working!

Install wasn't bad at all. Don't remove the tank like the directions say, just prop something underneath it so you have space to work.

Recommend it to anyone worrying about others drivers seeing you.

When you mounted the switch on the clutch side of the handle bars how did it fit and does it look 'Right'?

It looks fine, just a toggle switch above the top screw of the bracket on the left side.

This is the brand I use-

Easy install, never had one fail...no messing with a toggle switch either.

I've been running these for years. I get some **** for them from other riders, but I never use it when I am in a group, unless I'm lead.

It absolutely has cut down on how many cages don't see me. However, it is not the end all...just another tool to living to ride another day.

a loud horn to go along with the modulator is also a good idea.

They will get you noticed, by like Kevin stated they can be very annoying for fellow riders and cagers. Some people mistake it for an emergency vehicle

Here's what I'm using on all 3 of my bikes, it has a sensor that plugs into it that will automatically turn it on in daylight conditions as long as you are in jigh beam setting. Low beam turns it off.

from this page here...

The last one I bought I actually got off E Bay for less that $100.

I'm also running 90/100 headlamps and am getting great life out of these as well...

If you decide to go with a higher wattage lamp, be sure to get one of these as well...

The MOCO had to try and cash in on modulation and since all the good technology was already taken, they had to go with that gawdy switch you have to add. Plug and Play buddy.

Yeah, cars pull over to the side fairly frequently...lol, they must think they are getting a ticket.

I know it's annoying to them, but it definitely cuts down on the number of cagers that "don't see me".

I've read that some think it will confuse a cager and cause them to do something that might be worse to me than if they did not see me. I have never experienced this, and I think I'm somewhere around 200,000 miles riding with one.

When I first started riding with one, I never saw another bike in my area with one...the last 1-2 years I am seeing more & more of them on the road around here.

If I am coming up behind a bike, I will shut it off until I pass them.
