I like that bike at 3500 - that is a typical selling point for sportsters on CL. Bike looks like it might have some extras. The fact the dude told you about hours might mean it is not his bike, etc.
naw, I told the seller about the **** on the bottom of the gauge. He had no idea it was there, lolz. Weirdo.
He told me the mileage now (9k miles) so at least its still low mileage.
The only other thing I'm worried about is the aftermarket exhaust and intake he has on there. Since I don't know anything about harleys and fuel injection, if you put aftermarket intake/exhaust on an 883, do you have to retune or reprogram the ecm?
If so, how would I Know if he did it? Actually, I wouldnt know, he already told me he's the second owner and the original owner put that aftermarket stuff on.
Could I check the plugs to find if its running to hot or not? Whats everyones thoughts on all this, before I buy it? Can't wait to get rid of that bra...sooo ugly on it
Not a bad price from the looks of it. Has some extra chrome and the spare seat too. It wouldn't be hard to replace the bars with some slightly raised up bars if all you want is something like what comes on the Custom of that same year (wouldn't have to replace any cables or wires or brake lines). If you went with mini-apes on the low you may have to replace some of them but not for just some short riser bars.
