Default 2009 Nightster ECM Hole on Fender

Has anyone changed their seat for 2007 - 2009 Nightster. They put the ECM on the fender so when you change the seat, there is a hole left. I have been riding with the hold for a month. Luckely no rain yet. I was womdering if anyone did this and what did they do to fix it. I know there is the option of getting a new fender. Pretty costly. They also have a couple of covers on Ebay but they weren't appealing.

I don't think there's any great solution aside from a cover. If you're good with sheet metal you could pound your own cover and paint it body color. The problem is that area of the fender is curved in two directions so a cover has to be a bowl shape meaning you can't just bend a piece of metal, it must be shapped with a hammer.

Otherwise get a later 48 or Iron fender. Same fender but minus the hole. Or take your fender off, have the hole filled by a good body shop and then have it repainted.

You could always chop the fender at the hole, rotate it forward and remount. You will most likely have to cut the fender struts off to do this. There are a few people on here that have done that. This would avoid having to buy another fender and give you a nice chopped look....if you are in to that style.
