I’m having my Factory seat redone. Having some custom leather tooling done to it and while I’m at it I’m going to add some gel or foam. Anybody recommend a place where I can get the gel or foam for the seat?
You can buy the gel directly from Saddleman, or Corbin.
Personal experience here. I've had two seats with gel, and while comfy, it did have some drawbacks. Parked in the summer sun the gel gets hot, and retains the heat. You can fry your eggs and sausage on a hot sunny day. In the winter the gel can act like that blue ice in your freezer and get real cold. Sub zero temps cause it to get crusty and frosty. I put a lambskin pelt over the seat to keep comfortable.
Those are my experiences, yours and others may differ.
