Well yesterday I was all set to take my first real ride on my 89 883XLH I got a block and it stalled and would not start,I had warmed it up a couple times and last weekend rode around my lot for 25ish laps and all was smooth? I went ahaed and bought new plugs last night but haven't been ableto get over to my bike and check that out yet,any thought? It started, drove a block fine, stoplight it stalled and now all it wants to do is spit and backfire?
Petcock as suggested is a good start. Could be the vacuum line is off or diaphram in petcock is torn. Could be electrical check all that out.
Don't know if it's electrical,it turns over fine but just sputters or backfires[:'(]then again I'm new to working on bikes so it's all a learning experiance for me right now
