Help....throttle stuck! Scary

It does not take much to make the butterfly stay open a bit and then make the RPM's high, gald you get her fixed and enjoy the trip.

This happened to me two times on my 2019 883 Iron, less than 150 miles on it. Dealer insists it's the poor man's cruise control. It isn't (but Dealer has written me off as a dumb broad). I've already had my new bike sitting (literally) at the dealer for 5 weeks this summer. I'm now insisting they give me a service manual and repair manual, with systems and schematics so I can study and tell them where to check for defect or malfunction. (I have to have a sit-down with the Service Manager before they will let me do that. It's not like I'm going to start my own shop. Jeez.). I'll put "pull the air filter at the intake" on the top of my list, and tell them to check to see if the plate in the throttle body is closing all the way or if something got stuck in there and is holding it open. (BTW, the dealer insists on interpreting my "engine in high rev" condition as "high idle" that is normal for a sportster and something I'm probably not used to.) Also, I did have them install Thunderheaders when I bought it, otherwise it is stock.
