Suicide shift is with foot clutch, hand shifter, and no front brake. You want a sort of modified jockey shifter.

I'm not sure why you'd consider it an upgrade. It's definitely not a performance mod...

But I like the idea, and a trimmed down clutch handle on a bar would be pretty cool. Just make sure if you're doing it, it's well supported. Don't want to shift accidentally when hitting a pothole...It's been done before and I think it worked out fairly well.

Sure it's been done before. But an upgrade?! Hell no!

Oh it may look "cool," and it may look different, but as for myself I'd rather use the traditional method of "foot/gear lever - handlebar clutch lever" to help keep control of things. 'Been that way forever because it works...

There are of course those with disabilities who utilize such arrangements so they can continue riding, and I'm sure they're very pleased to have such an option!

=8^)

It is called "suicide" for a reason, after all.
I like "cool", but there is a limit where "functionality" has to stop you doing the wrong thing.

As mentioned above, some of us make this conversion so we can keep riding our bikes due to injuries. IMO a hand clutch on a tank shifter is a bad idea, but then again I'm used to using a foot clutch.

I ran one on my shove, and removed 2 months later. It's cool but dangerous as hell.

I agree it looks very cool, but safe not so much and I'm sure it would get old kinda quick as well.

I sometimes remove a hand off the bar when I am up to speed and know the road but to need to do it just to shift - I don't thank so, I wouldn't call it an upgrade more of a downgrade if you ride a lot, now if you are just building a show bike then it would be cool.

With the way people drive around here...it's best to have both hands on the bar.
