Default Cafe fairing install?

Has anyone installed one of the Cafe style fairings on the front of their Sportster? Is there any noticeable difference in wind deflection or is it more of a stylish install? I'm not a big fan of the windshields but want some break from the wind, esp. on the interstate. I'm afraid I already know what the answer is, I just want some second opinions. Thanks everyone.

Helps with the chest area so on highway riding you don't feel like you are being pushed out of your bike. But you get more wind hitting your helmet on some of my helmet it gets uncomfortable like constantly shaking your head.

It depends on how large the fairing is. The small H-D headlight flyscreens look cool and will do a little windbreaking, but a larger one will make more of a difference. I put an old Tracy fairing on mine a few years ago and it was really nice at speeds 65 and higher. Below that, there was some helmet buffeting, but not bad.
