Cams come in different degrees of tune, so (especially for the big twins) there are cams that will run with stock heads and give a decent improvement, then other cams that will work with mild porting, yet others that need serious porting, etc. It really is a matter of deciding at what point you want to get off the spiral!
The attraction of going with a 1250 kit, as I mentioned earlier, is that people like Hammer Performance can offer all those stages of tune, so you get a one-stop-shop. If you want to consider head porting it would be worth phoning them to talk through the benefits - and costs! There is also a lot of useful info on their website.
I think your best bet would be to contact Hammer performance and see what the difference between your s.e. heads are and what they could do to them to match those woods cams or perhaps have them work your s.e. heads to match up to a new hammer cam set. the way to make the most out of your engine is to ask the people who do it every day for years. there are opinions and there is proven combinations. if i'm paying for power i want info from the guys with proven combos. i think if your at 100 hp your not gonna see enough more to make it worth your effort and money.

Will do, of course w time.. Budget is a concern since I have my SG in the shop getting her engine rebuilt, headwork, bigger pistons, cylinders, etc etc. Its a 103 but she will not act like a stock 103 that's for sure
My Iron wil be my go to bike for fun and city driving but I just like "Performance" in what I drive.. Guess that my sports bike background has a lot to do with that
