Default Primary still

So I have read and tinkered alot with this. But yesterday I was adjusting the primary chain and it was too loose. (I could here the chain hitting the case) tightened it and when i popped it in 1st it pulled me forward and died with the clutch pulled in. To tight? To clutch problem?

That's clutch related. Adjust it first and recheck.

Where would I start on that. I haven't done anything with the clutch but maybe barley bumped the cable but jam going into the primary.

Did you accidentally hit the clutch actuator which is right there when you open your primary?

Didn't open the primary. 89 adjuster right under the primary. Just was messing with it and trying to get it looser when I got it to lose.

I assume you just ... 1) Opened the inspection cover 2) loosened the chain tensioner locknut. 3) adjusted the tension per the spec (about 1/2 in cold) 3) held the tensioner alen screw while tighening the locknut to spec. 4) replaced the inspection cover and torqued to spec.

If all you did was that, you should have not affected the clutch at all.

Are you sure there is something you are not telling us?

Yep that's all I did. I could have bumped the clutch cable and lock not that feeds into the primary but I don't remember doing that or think it would matter. It just started out of no where to try and pull a little bit forward with the clutch disengaged. I will play with it all cold and hot tomorrow and report back. No idea what happened. There's no way the clutch is that sensitive from bumping the lock nut going into the primary right? I can't imagine that I gave a quick snug but who knows. I have been doing a lot of work to it recently
