There is a 3.3 tank on ebay that I like, except that it has a scratch. I can't tell from the pic if it is down to the paint. I know nothing about paint, clearcoat, etc, but I am hoping that someone here might have an opinion based on the picture if this might be able to be "fixed" without a repaint.
That's a good tank I've been bidding on it also. I'm out now so good luck. It's hard to find a tank without a dent in it that is the color and style u want. I had a scratch similar to that on my tank and used some buffing compound and a buffer. You barely notice it now. Wax it when your done.
$400 was the winning bid. I've been watching these recently and that is on the higher end of the spectrum for a 3.3 tank. But, the 2012+ Iron tanks are rare to come up for resale.
I know. $400 for one with a scratch seems crazy, but I guess that's the market. I really miss the blue tank from my Iron, but a new one online from Ronnie's, Newcastle or Surdyke is going to be close to $800 with shipping.
Except for the small tank, I love everything else about my 48.
