What starter?
Hello everybody! I have a 1989 Sportster (bobber style). My starter it toast and I was wondering what starter to buy. I see the prices from around $130 to $400 what's up with that? I want the bike to start that's it. My buddy tells me to put the expensive one in or keep replacing the cheap ones. Does any one have experience with the "Rare Electrical" type starters or am I just asking for headaches in the future? Thanks in advance.

Way too old for me man. I know that you can check your brushes and see if their working you can send out your starter for a rebuild and put it back in it may get you another 20,000 miles. I know that when I buy things I like to google them and look at reviews before I shell out hundreds and find out its really crapt. Also look at their warranty information if it has a nice long warranty then you know you wont have to buy another one for a while.
