I am in the process of updating a 01 Sportster front end to put on my FXR. Purchased a single brake set up off of ebay listed as 01 Sportster 1200 Custom. Through some research i found Ronnies HD and used their parts finder to get a right side slider with a brake tab. On their site the only right side slider with brake tab was 01 1200 Custom, the Sport model didn't show a brake mount. I found it a little weird because i thought the Sport model was the only one with the tab.... anyway i ordered it came in today and they are definitely different.
Anyone know if i can run the two together with no issues? Or does anyone have a part number for a right side slider with brake tabs minus the adjuster at the bottom? Maybe im better off ordering a left slider with the adjuster?
The key dimensions as far as the brake is concerned would be the center-to-center distance between the mounting holes and their offset from the centerline of that slider. If those are the same the brakes are good.
