Tank and forward controls issues
Hi guys,
I am searching for a 4.5 gal tank that looks more like the squared 883 tank (just wider and longer) instead of round like those peanut tanks. I also have some issues with my forward controls: My legs are still too long with my factory seat on. It just isn't comfortable. I think a smaller, flatter seat might help but that's just an idea. Does anyone have a comfortable, super small seat installed? Every input on either problem would be great.

Check Paughco for the tank; they have the large 4.5G tanks which are kind of rare for the sporty's. Lowbrow Customs also has tanks, but not that capacity. I would suggest visiting some shops and sit on some bikes to see how they are configured with the bars, seat and controls. All of these things will affect your comfort and position on the bike, so finding the right setup is easier to do if you don't have to buy these things to see if you actually like them. Look for custom shops that sell bikes vs a dealer that usually only has factory bikes.

Thanks. I will do. I actually think I used the wrong terminology. I think I want a peanut tank but not one of those round 4.5 1200 C ones.

I just think that this tear drop look ruins the line of the Iron.
