Question about throttle and idle cable
Hi all
are there any differences between different year sportster in terms of throttle and idle cable? I am looking for 6+ stainless throttle and idle cable for my 2002 883R, and i see a lot of 6+ cables on ebay but just not for the year of my bike, does it really matter?

Yes. There is a measurement called travel, which is the amount of cable that is exposed outside the housing. This is different between throttle and idle, and also between some years. You need to find the correct travel and housing length for your bike.
Otherwise, you'll go to install it and you'll have problems reaching the throttle cam and/or not being able to fully open/close the throttle plate. A few 1/8ths of an inch can make a difference.
