Just hused my first tankfull on my iron since fitting a pcv so full stage one tune and although I did fill with bp ultimate I got 51.36 mpg with 50/50 town/open road riding, seems good to me?

I've always gotten exception mileage from Sportsters and Buells (sporty based engine).
My carb'd 883c would return me 53-ish during my normal commute and got just over 60 on open 2-lanes.
I rode my XB12R on a 1500mi trip and got at least 1/2dozen fillups in the 60-63mpg range. My worst tank of the entire trip was going through Deals Gap and I got 53 that time. Running 85-90mph in Alabama got me right at 60mpg.
I've owned 3 XB's (ridden 2 of them extensively-the 3rd was flipped for a profit) and that mileage was typical for all of them.
I don't know what Harley has done with the Sporty engine but it is BY FAR the most frugal engine I've ever ridden on top of.
