Lowering ??
Ok guys I need some suggestions on lowering my wife's Iron about an inch. Would you go with Burly 10.5 shocks or world you go with one of the cheap lowering brackets? Just curious what is the best route.
10.5" shocks will ride like a ridged frame. 11.5" are bad enough, but 10.5" will be spine jarring. IMO Lowering Blocks would be the better option being that they won't reduce the amount of travel in the shocks.
ill second that about the lowering blocks
I have used lowering blocks on multiple bikes, including my Sportster. Made for a much better ride.
Check out some options HERE.

If you go with lower brackets, get solid steel ones (you're putting a significant amount of force on these especially with the change in geometry), not some cheap *** molded/cast or welded bracket/block.

I'm riding on Burly 10,5" and I'm very pleased with them. Yes they're stiff and all but it depends on what you/your wife is after. Lowering blocks will off course do the trick if its only the "lowering" part you're after. And they're also more cost efficient.
I've got no experience with lowering blocks my self but I would trust the other guys in here who do use them! I would think that you will have a softer riding experience with the org shocks and blocks compared to the Burly shocks.

I wouldn't let lowering blocks anywhere near a bike of mine! Start by ensuring your wife is getting good reach with her legs and feet. Trimming the nose of the saddle to ease the line her legs take can improve reach noticeably and Harley, plus other brands, make sturdy high heeled riding boots, which will give her a good grip as well as improving her reach.
