Picked this HD 48 up a few weeks back. Have already logged about 800 miles. Funny thing about this bike. I recently sold my Yamaha R1 and only lasted about 2 months before getting the itch to get another bike. This time around I wanted to get a CRUISER so naturally I looked into getting a Harley. After a little research I came across the 48 and knew this is the bike I wanted. Had a few reservations as I am 6'3" 215 lbs.
Long story short, love this bike and I actually think I push this thing harder then my R1 on the road. Have no complaints and can't believe how much fun this bike is to ride. Just thought I would share. I did lot's of research on this forum before purchasing and figured maybe this would help a fellow new comer out.
Looks like you put the other shaped Sportster tank on and added the Gauntlet Fairing? And what's with the derby cover. It looks like it has an extra piece on it.

Yes to the fairing. No extra derby piece, it's black anodized with a raised HD logo. Aftermarket 4.5g tank. Not sure the exact mode. I've since removed the lower legs fork reflectors and added a passenger pillion pad. Tank logo is brushed aluminum eagle with harley Davison above it. Not my personal choice, will repaint in the future.
I absolutely love riding this bike. Surprised how many compliments it gets. Nobody knows it's a sportster.
