You'll get used to the wind. It took me a good while to get comfortable at speeds over 55 - 60. Now, I'm more worried about getting speeding tickets...lol.
One thing that happened in my case, my neck muscles built up. I had to buy all new dress shirts. The collar would no longer button. Now that was with no windshield and a half helmet, so you may not have quite as much wind drag on the neck.
I fully agree with what Whapp had to say in one of the earlier comments. Don't rush or force yourself. Don't go beyond your comfort level. Don't get discouraged. Do get off if you're that uncomfortable. Remember always. You can get hurt out there.
As others said try it without the windshield,I understand they take a little getting use to,more than without.I use to get that on my Shadow and on my Sporty highway feels a whole lot better
You get used to it. I never have used a windshield. I ride with safety glasses. My helmet has a 3/4 face shield with a half helmet. About 80 with winds, I feel like a guy in a training wind tunnel. Windshields can cause problems with cross winds. I also have riden in 40 + mph winds. You just get used to it. Have fun!
