howdy all
i recently discovered my belt was rubbing on the sprocket cover when releasing the throttle or gearing down,
i removed the sprocover and found that my sprocket has some play because of this crack in the "plate" could someone pls let me know what this plate is called?
i also wanted to ask if this part would be covered by warranty?i bought my 883 in may 2013?
also should i let them repair it or is it a simple fix i could do myself without getting ripped??
It is called a "Retention Plate" and (I think) part number is 40251-92A. And yes, I would think that it should be covered under warranty and as long as it is covered under warranty the work should be done by the dealer free of charge.
