Default 1200 Low options

Hi Guy's

Last year I bought a Sportster 1200 Low for my wife. She put about 500 miles on it last year and this winter told me she would really just like to ride on the back.

Is there anyway to adjust a Low to fit a larger rider. I'm 5'10" and about 220. I currently ride a Moto Guzzi Lemans, and just can't get comfortable on the Sportster. I either need to be able to move back or move the controls forward a bit.

Thanks,

Darryl

Just change the seat for one with more setback and get fwd. controls and it should fit ya just fine. Also changing to some Progressive 412 shocks would help (probably heavyduty springs, no offense but I think the std. springs are light unless preload is set high and I'm 140). I have a 32" inseam and fwd. controls on my 1200C and run a Mustang vintage seat and it works out well.

I'm 5'9" and 220 lbs.I've added a 2pc mustang wide seat and forward pegs to go with the mid controls{ works great],I've had a 2" pull back riser put on to bring my body more upright{ more comfortable]Try it you'll like it.Good luck

I second every thing capttawes says. Forward controls a must, Mustang or Sumdowner seat & HD 412 progressives. Why do guys under 6' think they are tall?

I already installed the sundowner seat. Not comfortable at all. I'm always sliding forward. I'll take a look at the forward controls and the Mustang seat.

Thanks,

Darryl

With forward controls I think you find you no longerslide forward on the Sundowner.
