I looked into the HID lights for my bikes, in fact bought a set I never used. I never used it because it looked like more hassle that it was worth to wire up the High Beam. Others I talked with said your don't need it and they just run the low beam. That won't work for me, I need the High Beam for coming up mountain roads at night. So I just gave the HID kit to a friend and bought LED headlamps for both bikes. Though much more expensive than HID, the LED headlamps are simple plug & play.
HID's do kick *** though, I've got them in my Vette and they're great.
Those bulbs at JP are a rip-off and can be found on line for about 10 bucks each. They're also twice as much as HID kits on eBay. Here's a HID kit for $23.00 shipped: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OPT7-35w-HID...94f388&vxp=mtr The light output of those bulbs are brighter than stock, but can't possibly be compared to HID. I have some of them laying around here that I've tested. If you go up to 100 watt they start to make a significant difference over stock, but they'll also burn up your H4 Connector & wiring. Bottom line is that no simple bulb will offer nearly as much lighting as HID or LED.
