2006 883C - 2006 883/1200CR

883/1200 Conversion, Stage II heads, Forcewinder w/ vent bowl mod, Python 2into1, Daytona Twin Tec TC88A

Custom riser, Drag bars, Kuryakyn Pilot grips, 1200R 3.3gal tank, Solo seat, Turnsignals relocated, Black Pears sidecovers

Lowered front suspension, Progressive rear suspension, License bracket, Headlight trim, Back Off module, Aux brake module
Reflectors deleted, Swingarm mount tool bag, Primary cover, Lots of Zaino

Couple of questions.. I have always like the 2-1 pipes... what is the sound difference if any. And do you have a link to the vent bowl mod?
There's a definate sound difference. It sounds really good, I love it. But, it doesn't have that typical Harley sound. It's hard to explain to a bunch of Harley guys how it can not sound like a Harley, but still sound great. At idle it sounds like a Harley, but when you're in the throttle it sounds like a muscle car. I can best describe it as sounding like the 67 Fastback in the movie Bullitt. (Great movie BTW!) At low RPM's you can still hear the seperation of the cylinders, but at higher RPM's, the sound all hits the collector at the same time. FWIW - I wouln't go back to anything other than a 2into1.

As for the vent bowl - ask and you shall receive: http://www.nrhsperformance.com/tech_forcewinder.shtml

Hey XL OCD I don't see you mentioning that you changed your stock 883 cams along with the 1200 conversion and Stage II head work. Is that right?

When I picked the bike up, the previous owner had installed a crash bar, new grips and SEII's with a Stage 1 upgrade. Since then I've added detachable sissy bar with tapered luggage rack, "Ride to Live" medallion, laydown license plate mount, chrome voltage regulator cover, auxillary brake light module w/red lenses, turn signal relocation, headlight and turn signal visors, and a Sundowner seat.I plan on the color matched side covers, a chrome upper belt guard, and some Kuryakyn Switchblade pegsin the future, among other things...

Man but you have a fine ear. I ran a Vance & Hines Pro pipe on an earlier Sporty and
that is exactly what it sounded like. Problem was that it was the single loudest exhaust
system i ever ran. I expected to see the neighbors standing on my front lawn some evening
with pitch forks and torches. That and it set off every car alarm on every street... all of the time.

I knew I was forgetting something! I went out in the garage and was looking at it trying to figure out what it was. [:@]

Yup, add the SE .551 cams to my list!

Here's a clip. Warning - it may be life changing. The Python sounds like the Dark Highland Green car that Steve McQueen (aka God) is driving. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4f6b57kLmE
