My name is Joshua and I live in Benton, Arkansas. Yesterday I traded my Yamaha V Star 650 in on a 2007 Harley 1200 Custom with 7000 miles on it. I love it. What a BEAST compared to that little 650. I can't wait till it warms up enough to go for a good ride. I may have to do some tinkering on it between now and then.
It has an HD detachable windshield, forward controls, HD sissy Bar, and Screaming Eagle Exhaust (SOUNDS AWESOME)
Things to come for it. 14 inch apes, a mustache bar, NEW SEAT, brake light modulator, and probably progressive shocks.

Welcome to the forum. I did pretty much the same ... i.e. started on Yamaha 650 Custom, sold after 6 months and bought an '08 Sportster 1200 Custom. As you said a beast compared to Yamaha.
It was bone stock though .. so far I have added Rush slip-on exhausts with 2" baffles and a tall windshield other than the stuff in my signature ... You are gonna love the feel of the air in your hair when riding the sporty!
Joshua, I have the same bike and the "Sundowner" is a great seat for that bike,
if you want to stay with a passenger seat.
Thanks, I will look into that. All 3 of my kids love the bike, only 2 are old enough to ride and beg me all the time to, but definately have to at least have a good 2 up seat.
