Spending $39.95 for a Battery Tender Junior is one of the best purchases you will ever make.
This is the only way I can keep the battery up on my 06 XL-1200L.
BTW - I do have an alarm...this is a minor draw even if it's not armed.
He already said it didn't have an alarm. It the bike started and went dead 15 minutes later it has nothing to do with a battery tender. It's the charging circuit or bad ground/loose wire connection (troubleshoot in that order).
Well, I have been working on the bike today...or at least making an attempt at it. After all the checks it looks like a regulator or stater. Anyone ever done the repairs themself? I do most if not all of the repairs on my truck, but not sure if I should give it a go on the bike after reading some of the forums. They seem to say that you can really screw up your bike if you don't know what you are doing. Another thing in noticed today was when I turn the Key on the engine light does not come on at all. The battery is on a charger today but it was all the way down to 8.5 V.
