I know it gets hot in HOTlanta in the summers. You might want to look into some of these for when things heat up. http://www.dragginjeans.com/
Excellent! Thanks for that link! [sm=smiley20.gif]

Going riding today. Temp is below 60, so it's chaps on.

I wear mychaps all the time. Even when it's hot! Never go without 'em.

1st reason: don't like road rash, although they don't protect every inch of me, it's still better with them than without them

2nd reason: my bike runs really hot.The heat on my inner legs was way too hot without my chaps on.I put on some heat shields last summer but wasn't able to really test them out, until my holiday just this winter. I also changed my pipes this yr too, so I don't know which of these changes helped, but it definitelywas much better.

I think I still prefer to wear them, though. I always wear my helmet and I just like to wear my leathers if at all possible .... however, I have to admit I LOOOOVVVE the feeling of no helmet and no leathers, I just feel more protected when I'm suited up. Remember ... safety first!

I have to admit that here in Arizona when it can get very hot in the summer I take risks that I'm not toally comfortable with (in my mind). I will wear levis, long sleeved T shirt, leather vest and 1/2 Shoei helmet. To me, anything else is just too hot.

full leathers for me or a hi-tech ridind suit...when real hot mess tech gear......chaps used to wear...good for blocking the wind/cold on your legs....you go down your butt and other items are unprotected...whenyou're sliding down the road the more gear the better....oh I know it'll never happen to me...wrong...however as always it's a personal choice......BC

Good alternative is www.coloradochaps.comThey are made to fit you personally, come in a variety of colors and you can also get them fleece lined for winter if you want. The reflective piiping really shows up great.

I wish I had them today (upstate NY - brrrr), but I work in a pretty conservative office so - the Harley is pushing it as it is.
