I started getting this problem about a week ago. I turn the key on, the lights come on. I hit the "on" switch then hit the starter button and NOTHING!! At first I thought it was a starter problem. But then after some trial and error, I realized that when I hit the ON button, the bike didn't make that whistle noise while going through the diagnostics. Then it will randomly make the noise, and I can then start the bike.
So I now know the problem is sometimes when hitting the ON button, it works and other times it doesnt. And when it doesnt, of course the bike wont start. Is this something common and is there an easy way to test if the signal is getting from the switch to wherever it has to go?
Bike week is starting on Monday here in Phoenix and I would like to know my bike is gonna start every time I need it to.
