Default Front wheel wobble

Hi all. Just something I have noticed recently. At 50 mph and above, my 1200 sportster has a slight wheel wobble. I havent been able to pinpoint the reason, except that it seems to occur when there is a change in the road grade. Has anyone else experienced this and have you been able to figure it out and fix it?
Thanks

Bad tire or unbalanced wheel.

Happened to my buddy on his 48 and I trued his wheel and it fixed it. Wasn't off too much, but it made a nasty wobble....

I got rid of that wobble by getting rid of the OEM Dunlop.

I get a similar behavior with my '02 1200. Bought it used last fall, so only have 1200 miles or so on it so far. It has Dunlops on it, rear is new, front is roughly 1/3 worn.

Pressures are correct, and I can't find anything loose in the front end or steering.

I've read LOTS of threads about the stock Dunlops being 'squirrely' so at this point that's my best guess on my bike. Though I have not had the front wheel trued or balanced, so it could be those as well.

After reading about tires (here and elsewhere), I plan to go to Shinko 777s on the next change.

I had the same thing happening on my 2012 Forty-Eight and it has the Michelin Scortcher tires. At around 45mph or so if I let go of the bars it wobbles bad, but I dont really feel it while holding the bars. It just came on after about 3000 or 4000 miles so Im hoping i just lost a wheel weight and I just need to get it balanced.

Michelin Scorcher have the same centerline groove as the OEM Dunlops... I'm pretty sure that's whats causing the mild wobbles and wiggles at certain speeds. I noticed it most on deceleration. I've adjusted neck bearings, tightened spokes replaced swing bearings and engine mounts, fork oil etc, etc, etc... the only thing that finally made those annoying wiggles go away was new Mich Commander IIs ... they don't have that stupid centerline wavy groove.

Usually when you feel a wobble in the front end it's a component in the rear end of the bike. Poor align, loose spokes, bad wheel or berring etc.... Check those?
